Anne Marie Murphy has practiced Food and Drug Law since joining the firm in 2000. Ms. Murphy's practice focuses primarily on the development and regulation of prescription drugs and medical devices. She has also counseled many clients on compliance with the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA) and the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). Prior to pursuing her legal education, she held a number of regulatory positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including conducting quality assurance audits of clinical investigational drug studies for Wyeth-Ayerst Research from 1992 to 1996.
Ms. Murphy received a Bachelor in Science in Medical Technology from Wesley College in 1983. She graduated summa cum laude from the Widener University School of Law in 2000. Ms. Murphy currently serves on the Human Subjects Research Board for the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Ms. Murphy is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
