Mr. Wasserstein specializes in the areas of healthcare fraud and abuse, pharmaceutical and medical device promotional and marketing issues, health privacy (HIPAA), as well as general food and drug law. He primarily counsels pharmaceutical and medical device companies on compliance issues. Mr. Wasserstein is the co-founding blogger of www.fdalawblog.net and has a special interest in the use of social media tools in the marketing of therapeutic products.

Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Mr. Wasserstein practiced in the areas of food and drug and healthcare law at the Washington, D.C. office of Sidley & Austin. Before entering private practice, he clerked for the Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Allyne R. Ross, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Wasserstein is a 1996 graduate of Columbia University School of Law and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. Mr. Wasserstein is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, New York, and New Jersey.
