Prior to joining the firm in 1995, Mr. Gilbert was an attorney in the Drug Enforcement Administration's Office of Chief Counsel, Diversion/Regulatory Section. Mr. Gilbert also served as a law clerk in the DEA Office of Administrative Law Judges as part of the Department of Justice Honor's Program. Mr. Gilbert received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Westfield State College in 1979 and received his law degree from the Catholic University of America in 1992, where he was an associate editor of the Catholic University Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Virginia, and is a member of the American Bar Association and of the Administrative Law and Health Law sections of the Virginia State Bar.
